Better Writing
A single skill for drafting, rewriting and reviewing prose so it reads clear and specific. It takes a writing sample from the user as the style reference, adjusts directness, warmth, density and polish by genre, looks for clusters of machine-sounding patterns rather than single words, forbids inventing numbers, quotes or examples when making text more concrete, and runs a check before delivery. The repository includes an evaluation harness with test fixtures. Aimed at anyone editing emails, reports, essays or announcements with an agent.

EDITORIAL GUIDE
Improve prose without losing the facts or the writer’s voice
A style edit should preserve claims, uncertainty and useful personality. Natural-sounding prose is not evidence of factual accuracy or original authorship.
LuluSkill’s own reading of this project, not a summary of its README. About 3 minutes to read
This guide is LuluSkill’s own judgement about when this project fits, written from the pinned version named above. It is not the author’s documentation, not a security review and not a recommendation. LuluSkill did not install, run or test the project to write it, and the guide is shown only while this listing still points at the commit it was written against.
When this project fits
This entry fits an existing draft that needs clearer, less mechanical prose while retaining its purpose. The README describes genre and voice controls, fact preservation and placeholders for missing information; those are useful constraints when editing rather than inventing content.
When to choose something else
Do not use stylistic naturalness to disguise copied material, invent experience or imply human authorship that was not established. Removing every phrase on a style list can also flatten a deliberate voice. Facts and quotations need their own review even when the revised paragraph reads smoothly.
What to provide and what to expect
Provide the draft, audience, genre, protected facts and a voice sample you have permission to use. Expect a revision and reasons for meaningful edits. Missing names, dates or claims should stay marked for completion rather than being filled with plausible details.
Tools, permissions and boundaries
A supplied-text edit can be done without accounts or publication access. Reading private drafts requires appropriate handling, and saving a revision needs scoped writes. The presence of an evaluation harness in a repository does not demonstrate performance in your particular genre.
The tradeoff and an alternative
For a short message, a checklist for clarity, specificity and factual preservation may be sufficient. A dedicated entry helps when editing is repetitive or voice-sensitive. Its tradeoff is avoiding overcorrection: a more polished draft can be less faithful to the writer.
A small acceptance exercise
Proposed exercise: revise a paragraph containing a date, quotation and qualified claim. Compare each protected fact and the level of certainty before and after. Reject an edit that adds evidence, turns a possibility into a guarantee or changes the quoted words merely to improve rhythm.
Source, version and what was actually read
The pinned README opening editing approach, voice controls and fact-preservation rules were read. The underlying evaluation harness and its reported results were not independently evaluated. LuluSkill did not install or run this project; the exercise above is a proposed reader check, not a reported result.
How to use this listing
LuluSkill publishes the description and the source link only. The skill itself stays in its author’s repository, and nothing here is installed, copied or run for you.
- Read what the skill helps with The summary above says which job the project is for. If that is not the job you have, this is probably not the listing you want.
- Open the original source and follow the author’s own instructions The link to the original project opens its author’s page. That page, not this one, is where the setup steps and any copying instructions live.
- Use it in a compatible AI assistant Skills of this kind are normally used inside an AI assistant that can read a folder of files on your computer. Which assistants support them is the author’s decision, so check their page before you start.
Who it is for
Somebody who already wants this one job done and is willing to follow the author’s setup steps. No programming knowledge is assumed, and this listing cannot tell you whether the project suits you.
Before you start
You need an AI assistant that supports skills, and you will be following somebody else’s instructions on your own computer. Read them before you run anything.
What you end up with
Whatever the author’s project produces. LuluSkill never runs it, so this page cannot promise a result, a file, or a level of quality.
Where it is normally used
Projects like this are usually used in an AI assistant that supports skills, such as an AI coding assistant. The author’s repository says which assistants it is written for; LuluSkill has not tested it with any of them.

Listing only
LuluSkill lists this project only. It does not host, download or run its code.
What this page does not include
The project’s files and setup steps stay in its own repository. LuluSkill has not security-tested the project or confirmed which AI assistants it works with.
