Start with your task
Compare options fairly
Make trade-offs visible before choosing.
- Prepare materials
- Choose your AI tool
- Get instructions
- Check the result
Describe the result, add only the materials it needs, then choose what counts as done.
What to ask for
A comparison table using the same criteria for every option, followed by a conditional recommendation and information gaps.
- Options × shared criteria
- Benefits · costs · unknowns
- Choose if… / confirm first…
Follow these steps
- Open the example; replace the room options with your own dated facts.
- Write the budget, required capacity and shared criteria. Keep unknown facts unknown.
- Choose a tool, copy the instruction and request the comparison table.
- Check every value and condition. If the recommendation ignores a limit, restate that limit and request a revised comparison.
Bring these inputs
- The options and dated source facts you already have
- Your budget, time limit and non-negotiable needs
- The same three to five criteria for every option
Check before using
- Use identical criteria and units across all options.
- Label missing or outdated facts instead of guessing.
- Tie the recommendation to your stated constraints.
A common gap → a clearer request
“Which is best?” hides your priorities and invites an unsupported ranking.
Name the decision, shared criteria and hard limits; allow “not enough information”.
Choose a tool
Use Claude or Codex for a text draft. LM Studio can use the local prompt format if you have a suitable model installed. Select the matching target in the prompt helper and copy its instruction into your tool.
What this flow covers
The site prepares instructions only. It does not call an AI or send messages. These fictional teaching inputs are replaceable; remove sensitive information before pasting your own material. Check the answer before using it.
The example prepares an instruction using synthetic material. You choose an AI tool and verify its answer yourself.
